A New Door Opens

Our original plan was to adopt from Ethiopia, but God had other things planned. He started opening doors for us to look into adopting domestically. We are now working with an agency here in Orlando. The adoption attorney and agency owner is actually our friend's mom. So we know we are in good hands! We are excited to see where this new direction takes us, and so far it looks as though we could have a baby sooner than later. The only thing holding us back, is that we do not have the full amount of funds needed to complete the adoption. We have faith the finances will be put in place when it is the right child for us! God does everything at just the right time.....Thank you for your continued prayers and support!

Downtown Yard Sale

We had another successful yard sale at my brother and sister-in-law's house on Saturday Feb.21! We made another $1,000 to add to our adoption fund! Thank you to all the families who donated items, making the yard sale much larger than normal! We are blessed with friends and family who continue to support us in many ways through tis journey! A special thanks to Aaron and Kathleen, for having it at their house and putting in a lot of time to get it set up. Our dear friend Yvette was there to help and keep us all organized and sane! Bob and Donna Dumaine helped us move everything from our house to my brother's all in one night in a big trailer. We wouldn't have had the time to get all set up, without their help too Thanks everyone, we love you!

Baby Bottles

I just wanted everyone to know how precious my niece was when she got the baby bottle to fill with change. My mom gave her one, and she ran to her room and dumped her piggy bank into the bottle to fill it up right away! She came out and said with excitement,"I filled it up cause I want my new cousin to get here faster!" Then that night she said she had a dream that we came home with our 2 kids – one was a baby and one was a little girl her age, and they got to play together! How sweet is that! She is so excited to get a cousin! : )

Garage Sale Update

So I would like to thank all my friends and family for your donations, time and support for our garage sale today! We made $1,377.07! We need $1,400 for our first payment to get our Home Study done. We are only $23 away! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! We've got 5% of the total cost and we're off to a strong start! God is Good! We love you guys!

Spare Change

Hey everyone! In the spirit of National Orphan Day (which was this past Sunday November 8th) we wanted to let you know our first appointment with the adoption agency Celebrate Children that very day, and we got 3 full hours of information all at once. It was a lot to take in, but got us even more excited about this process!

We're also excited to announce that we've started our next fundraiser: We'll be giving out baby bottles with instructions inside to please collect your spare change over the next month or so, and then return it to us. It's a great one for families to help with since kids enjoy putting their change in the bottle. Every little bit helps!

First Fundraiser

Hi everyone! For those of you who haven't already heard, Jenn and Matt are about to hold their first fundraiser to help with the adoption fees and they would LOVE for you to be a part of the event. They'll be having a garage sale at their home this coming weekend, Saturday the 14th, and will be accepting any and all donation items you're willing to part with. Whatever doesn't sell this weekend will be put toward a second yard sale later in the year, so it's not too late to donate even if you can't help right now. Jenn and Matt are SO thankful for anything you're able to give!

First Thing's First :)

Hello friends! I'm really excited to say that Matt and I have an appt with Celebrate Children Adoption Agency on Sunday! We know that we have a long, exciting journey ahead of us! I want to keep you all updated with everything! As of right now, we are going to be doing a lot of different things to raise money for the adoption. Our first thing needs your help! If you have any items in your house that you have been wanting to get rid of, and don't care to get the money out of it, things you would've just given to Goodwill anyways, then we are going to be having a garage sale on Saturday Nov, 14, at my mom's house! All of your donations will be greatly appreciated and the money will go towards bringing home our baby from Ethiopia! Within the next couple of weeks you can drop your things at my house or my mom's house! We really appreciate all your prayers and support through this! Thank you so much! Love you guys!
